On 5 August 2026, Dulog Legal partnered with the Municipal Government of San Nicolas, Batangas, to conduct a community legal aid caravan featuring a capacity-building lecture on the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) Law for members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa, a voter education workshop for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), and free legal consultations for residents of the municipality.

Since its launch in 2022 by DivinaLaw Managing Partner Atty. Nilo T. Divina, Dulog Legal has served as the Firm’s flagship platform for extending legal education and assistance to communities with limited access to legal services. The San Nicolas leg marks its 16th mission and forms part of a nationwide series of programs celebrating DivinaLaw’s 20th anniversary.

The event, held at the San Nicolas Municipal Hall in conjunction with San Nicolas’ 61st Founding Anniversary, brought together 58 participants, among them Mayor Hon. Lester De Sagun, Vice Mayor Hon. Mark Jason D. De Sagun, and SK Federation President Hon. Davy Aleth B. Alvaira. The local officials opened the program by welcoming and thanking those in attendance.

The initiative was spearheaded by DivinaLaw Pro Bono Lead and Partner Atty. Mary Jude C. Marvel, who also facilitated the capacity-building lecture on KP Law. Partner Atty. Renelie B. Mayuga led the voter education workshop for the SK together with Associate Atty. Joseph Michael A. Rosuello.

They were joined by Senior Associates Atty. Jennel L. Chu, Atty. Bianca D. Soriano, and Atty. Peter Paolo P. Dim; as well as Associates Atty. Angel Isah M. Romero, Atty. Kara C. Ramos, Atty. Marc Angelo G. Santos, Atty. Ferdinand Jian A. Pulmones, and Atty. Gianne Coleen D. Co, who took part in the day’s pro bono activities and provided legal consultations to barangay leaders and community residents.

DivinaLaw’s legal interns from various law schools also participated in the program as part of their practical training, equipping them with the skills needed to be practice-ready.

The successful San Nicolas mission reflects the continuing dedication of DivinaLaw and its partners to making justice more accessible to the communities they serve. As Dulog Legal continues its nationwide journey in celebration of the Firm’s 20th anniversary, it looks forward to reaching more Filipinos, building stronger community partnerships, and carrying its pro bono efforts well beyond this milestone year.
