The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and DivinaLaw recently launched the “Doing Business in the Philippines 2023” guidebook in a press conference held in Makati.

“2022 was a year full of economic milestones for the Philippines marked by the passage of game-changing economic reforms that are expected to increase the country’s attractiveness as an investment destination,” remarked ECCP Executive Director Florian Gottein. “Capitalizing on these positive changes, it is crucial for us to ensure that potential investors are well-informed and provided with the relevant information on the country’s current business climate.”

“This primer covers it all,” said DivinaLaw Managing Partner Nilo T. Divina. “This primer talks about how to put a business in the Philippines, investments, foreign exchange controls, taxation, general reportorial requirements, labor and employment, immigration, intellectual property, and fintech. Basically, the common concerns that affect anyone who would like to do business in the Philippines.”

“Given the current events, legal and regulatory landscape in the Philippines, today and now is the best time to invest in the Philippines.”

DivinaLaw is the content partner of ECCP in the 4th edition of the “Doing Business in the Philippines” guidebook. The Firm was also invited to share the legal perspective on the country’s business and regulatory landscape in a meeting exclusively organized for European ambassadors.
