Last May 08, UST Faculty of Civil Law Dean Nilo T. Divina delivered a compelling keynote address at the National Summit of Church Archives and Heritage Workers at the Buenaventura G. Paredes OP Building (BGPOP), University of Santo Tomas.

He provided valuable insights into the intersection of intellectual property law and the preservation of ecclesiastical records and emphasized the crucial role that archiving plays in safeguarding the historical and cultural heritage of the Church. He also highlighted how proper archival practices ensure the protection and accessibility of valuable ecclesiastical documents for future generations, while navigating the complexities of intellectual property rights. His presentation focused on the importance of balancing legal considerations with the need to maintain and share the rich legacy of ecclesiastical history of the Philippines.
