“A one-stop shop. The most comprehensive book on Commercial Law. It has about 1,000 cases cited, is over 1,700 pages, including a format (Q&A) based on the wishes of students who said they prefer that kind of structure in presenting topics on Commercial Law.’’

DivinaLaw Managing Partner Nilo T. Divina thus describes his latest book, “Divina on Commercial Law: A Comprehensive Guide” (Vol. 1 & 2) which was successfully launched live on publisher Rex Education’s Facebook page. According to Divina, it faithfully adheres to the syllabus prescribed by Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen for the 2020/2021 Bar Examinations.

“I wrote this book in fulfillment of a promise I made to all my students,” said Atty. Divina, who is also the Dean of the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law.

“It is a comprehensive book on Commercial Law. I am a talking as a professor, as a reviewer, a practitioner on Commercial Law. This represents about 30 years of experience in the academe and in the exercise of the law profession. It is basically me asking the questions to my students, to my examinees, to my reviewees. It is as if I am whispering to your ears the words, the answers to the Bar exam questions. It is as if I am lifting you a hand because it is a product of love. It is a work of love.”

This is Atty. Divina’s 5th book; he has previously published “Questions & Answers on the Revised Corporation Code” (2020), “Bar Questions & Answers For the Past 10 years: Commercial Law” (2019), “Guidebook on Commercial Law” (2016), and “Handbook on Commercial Law” (2005, 2010 revised).

While in the past, all royalties have been earmarked for scholarships, this time he has waived his royalty to make it affordable for all.
