Amid the ongoing pandemic, DivinaLaw was named an Employer of Choice by the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Magazine in its April 2021 Asia Employer of Choice issue. This is the third time the Firm is receiving this honor after bagging the same title in 2018 and 2019. DivinaLaw is delighted to share this award with you, our dear clients. You inspire us to always strive for excellence.

DivinaLaw was selected as Employer of Choice based on the number and quality of the recommendations the Firm received during ALB’s survey last January and February of this year. More than 1,800 respondents from eight Asian jurisdictions answered the survey, which was open to all employees of law firms – from paralegals to managing partners, and even non-legal staff. The other countries who took part in the survey are Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

“The year 2020 was the most unique in living memory, and a very difficult one for law firms. Not only did they have to ensure the safety of their employees, but also keep them engaged while maintaining top-notch standards of client service. This ability to strike a fine balance was a major factor that separated this year’s Employer of Choice law firms from their peers,” wrote ALB in their introduction to the list of distinguished firms. Two other Philippine law firms are included in the list.

“Every employer has to make the appropriate adjustments dictated by the circumstances, but the number one priority is the welfare of the employees. This will in turn foster unity and solidarity between management and staff which will enable the company to weather challenges and difficulties no matter how daunting they may be,” said DivinaLaw Managing Partner Nilo T. Divina in the magazine when asked about lessons from 2020 that he will take into the future.
